Support Technician at the IT Department of DSV
The Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) is one of the largest departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Stockholm University.
DSV is also Sweden's oldest and largest institution in IT. Here, we conduct exciting research and development projects that contribute to shaping the future educational environment. The department is located at the Kista campus and has about 200 employees and approximately 4,500 students.

Job Responsibilities
Are you service-oriented, technically curious, and thrive in an environment where education, research, and innovation meet? The IT department at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) in Kista is now looking for a support technician who wants to contribute to providing our teachers, administrators, and students with the best possible IT support in their daily lives. As a support technician with us, you will be an important part of the daily IT support at DSV. You will work closely with the operations and assist users with everything from simple support cases to more complex problems. You will be part of a team responsible for the operation and support of computer workstations, classrooms, lab environments, and central systems.
Examples of Job Responsibilities:
- First-line support to teachers, administrative staff, and students (on-site, via phone, and ticketing system).
- Troubleshooting and resolution of issues in Windows and/or macOS environments.
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
- Support during lectures and seminars (e.g., AV equipment, connectivity, digital meetings).
- User support regarding central systems, learning platforms, and other IT services.
- Participation in smaller development and improvement projects within the IT area.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- High school education with an IT focus or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
- Experience in IT support in a university or college environment.
- Familiarity with working with ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting educational environments (lecture halls, AV, hybrid teaching).
- Knowledge of learning platforms and education-related IT systems.
- Good knowledge of Windows (and preferably macOS and/or Linux).
- Basic networking knowledge (e.g., TCP/IP, WiFi, printers).
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

About the Employment
The position is full-time and is temporary until 2026-07-31. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
